Job Description
Our Client is expanding their existing Building Services team and now require a Mechanical Building Services Department Lead to support and lead projects from their Dublin office.
This is a key role for the company.
As Mechanical Building Services Department Lead , you will lead and take ownership for stages of projects from concept to detailed design on projects largely within the Biopharmaceutical and Pharmaceutical industry.
Complete design for Building services/utilities generation, distribution and HVAC systems.
Co-ordinates with PM’s and other discipline leads to determine scope cost planning and scheduling requirements.
Assign appropriate skilled resources to execute design deliverables.
Defines workflow process and level of design detail required for the project stages.
Estimate and manage works hours.
Oversee the development of design deliverables , such as but not limited to:
Scope of works for building services and controls
PFD and P&ID’s
Control Strategies
HVAC systems
Related automation and instrumentation specification and philosophy
Load and Energy balances
Equipment specifications
Ensure compliance with client procedures, local, and international codes and standards.
Requirements
Degree in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering (Level 8).
Have 8+ years in Bio/Pharma/API Design.
Awareness of safety engineering and safety management.
Previous participation in HAZOPs and Design Risk Assessments.
Significant design experience in the Life Sciences sector.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Proven ability to successfully manage the delivery of projects., acting in a client facing role on Equipment, Facility and Utility design projects.
Proven ability to lead/manage a team of Building Services engineers.
Energetic and dynamic with excellent people management, interpersonal and communication skills to operate within a project delivery environment.
Proven experience in project management capacity, executing projects from inception to completion.
Proficient in CAD and BIM (REVIT / Navisworks).
Excellent IT and Communication skills.
Experience in energy systems and energy saving analysis is an advantage.

€80k- €100k Salary neg. based on Experience
