Mechanical Engineer- Cork based Power Plant

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer - Aghada CCGT Plant Overhaul
Location: County Cork, Southern Ireland
Duration: Approx. 6 months with possible extension to 12 months
Daily Rate: up to €750/day
Overview:
Our client, a leading player in the power generation industry, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their team for an exciting project at a cork based Plant. This project involves addressing unscheduled maintenance issues on various equipment, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Manage contracts and liaise with project teams and specialist groups.
Develop technical specifications, supervise contractors, and oversee quality control.
Collaborate with management and maintenance teams, conduct audits, and report on project progress.
Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in power generation industry.
Strong knowledge of mechanical plant and equipment.
Experience in planning and executing major power station overhauls.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team structure.
Proficient computer skills.
Desired Skills:

Experience with CCGT power plants and Safe Systems of Work.
Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Base Location:
Candidates must be willing to work on-site at the Aghada Plant in County Cork, Southern Ireland.
