Mechanical HVAC Maintenance Engineer

ID Recruitment are working with a growing Mechanical and Electrical Engineering company to recruit a Mechanical HVAC Maintenance Engineer for an ongoing project in Co. Sligo.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily maintenance and the delivery of new and existing projects in line with policies, procedures, EHSQ and targets. This role reports directly to Contracts Managers.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Preventative and reactive maintenance on all mechanical plant
  


• Liaise with specialist contractors, such as Medical gases, fume extractions etc.
  


• The following are some of the items that will need to be maintained
  

• Assisting Contracts Manager in developing and implementing commissioning plans on site
  


• Maintaining Document Management System
  


• Liaising with client-based site team and end users on a daily basis
  
  

Skills and Experience

• National Craft/Trade Certificate
  


• Valid Training Certificates - Safe Pass, Manual Handling, etc
  


• Industrial Plumbing Experience +3 years min
  


• Full Driving Licence required
  


• OFTEC and RGI would be advantageous
  


• A knowledge of AC would be a plus but not essential
  


• Excellent attention to detail for preventative maintenance
  


• Good fault-finding ability for reactive maintenance
  


• General knowledge of ventilation and plumbing systems
  


• Competent knowledge of navigating building management systems to aid fault finding
  


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with good commercial acumen
  


• Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
  


• A team player who is a good multi-tasker and flexible in adapting to the demands of challenging project environments
  


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  


• Ability to use a laptop/tablet is required
  


• Capability of taking own initiative when required and possess a flexible and adaptable work ethic
