Mechanical Site Engineer

Role: Mechanical Site EngineerLocation: CorkReport directly to MSL Senior EngineerDuties Include: Involvement in some or all the following aspects of Mechanical Contracting –Safety, Construction, Quality and Commercial Issues. Development of piping and equipment test packsSign off piping test packs for pre-test. Pressure test and post-test activities.Recording of field weld histories for inclusion within piping test packsCompilation of system handover dossiersOnsite co-ordination between Mechanical and other Disciplines.Resolving engineering queries in the fieldWork with MSL piping supervisor to progress construction in their area.Weekly Progress reporting of their specific areaWeekly Variation reportingFamiliarise with scope of MSL contract to monitor possible our potential variation work on site.Ensure equipment is installed correctly within their area.Providing all necessary technical back up to their area piping supervisorEnsuring all material, fabricated pipe spools and supports is on site are required for their area to follow the project schedule.Working with MSL QA lead to ensure piping systems within their area is handed over to client on schedule.Excellent knowledge of piping isometrics and P&IDs is essential.Due to the urgency of this role, we cannot consider candidates that do not have the appropriate work permits in place.
