Job Description - Meeting & Events Sales Executive

The Meeting & Events Sales Executive is an important position working closely with the sales & reservations team

 

About Us

Welcome to The Plaza Hotel Dublin with 122 ensuite bedrooms, state of the art conference facilities & excellent cuisine.

Newly renovated and extensively refurbished, The Plaza Hotel. 

 Over the last 2 years, the entire interior of the 4 star hotel has been extensively refurbished, now comprising of exciting new eateries. The hotel now offers 122 spacious, comfortable and ensuite bedrooms along with a number of large suites. Two large and naturally lit event spaces, together with 4 meeting suites allow for conferences and events of all sizes, ranging from 5-200 people. 

Role/Responsibilities

Reports to: General Manager / Revenue Manager / Sales & Marketing Manager / Reservations Manager

Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Generation:
  • Actively prospect and generate leads for meeting spaces and event venues.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Conduct sales presentations to potential clients showcasing the venue's facilities and services.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure bookings.
  1. Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Understand clients' needs and preferences to tailor event proposals accordingly.
  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction before, during, and after events.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  1. Event Coordination:
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as kitchen, operations, and housekeeping to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including room setup, audiovisual equipment, and catering services.
  • Oversee event setup and teardown, ensuring that all client requirements are met.
  1. Market Research and Analysis:
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market demands.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and opportunities for business growth.
  • Analyse sales data and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  1. Administrative Tasks:
  • Prepare and maintain sales contracts, proposals, and other relevant documentation.
  • Keep accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and revenue projections.
  • Generate reports on sales performance and present findings to management.

Requirements

 

   The ideal candidate will possess at least 1 years' experience in a similar role in a 4* hotel setting
