A busy, well-established mixed practice in Athlone is currently seeking a Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join their experienced and friendly team.

About the Role

• Full-time hours: Monday to Friday, with shifts either 9am6pm or 10am7pm (including a one-hour lunch break). Daily shifts are evenly shared between vets.

• Weekend rota: 1 in 4 weekends on call, from Saturday morning until Monday. Following a weekend on call, the vet will have the following Friday off and, where feasible, will also benefit from a long weekend the week after.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary from 48,000- 60,000 for a vet with experience, depending on experience, strengths, enthusiasm, and level of required mentoring.

• 4 weeks paid holiday

• 1,000 annual CPD allowance 

• VDS cover paid

• Generous out-of-hours (OOH) bonuses, paid on top of salary.

• Expenses paid to cover use of personal vehicle for work.
