This is an exciting opportunity to join Premier Foods as a National Account Manager within our Grocery Sales team.

You’ll take ownership of one of our key Irish multiple customers, working across our grocery categories. Partnering with the Sales Controller, you’ll help develop the customer strategy and take responsibility for bringing the joint business plan to life.

With ownership of the customer P&L and commercial plan, you’ll have the freedom to make an impact across range, promotions, pricing, NPD and trade marketing. It’s a broad, visible role where you can build strong customer relationships, influence performance and continue developing towards a future Senior National Account Manager opportunity.

What you’ll be doing

• Own and deliver the strategic commercial plan for your customer.


• Manage the customer P&L, delivering agreed sales, spend and profit targets.


• Build and implement tailored joint business plans.


• Develop strong day-to-day relationships with buyers and lead monthly customer meetings.


• Analyse sales, market share and promotional performance, adapting plans to improve results.


• Negotiate and deliver effective promotional programmes.


• Collaborate with Marketing and Category teams to launch NPD, close distribution gaps and lead range reviews.


• Produce accurate sales and stock forecasts in partnership with Supply Chain, Finance and Forecasting.


• Manage customer pricing, investment and promotional spend.


• Work closely with UK teams, representing and championing the Irish business.


• Present customer performance and commercial updates through the monthly commercial cycle.


• Lead additional projects that support the continued growth of the team and business.

What we need from you

• Experience working with FMCG customers in the Irish multiple retail channel.


• Strong commercial knowledge and experience of P&L management.


• Experience of category-based selling and collaborative negotiation.


• A proven ability to build successful customer relationships and deliver commercial performance.


• Confident analytical and creative thinking skills.


• The ability to collaborate cross-functionally while also working independently.


• Good Excel and PowerPoint skills
