Job Description

My client is looking for a Commercial Lead to take ownership of the commercial performance of their rapidly expanding Power & Renewables division across Ireland and the UK.

This role isn't about managing a single project. It's about shaping commercial strategy across an entire business unit, supporting growth, managing risk and ensuring projects are delivered profitably while maintaining strong client relationships.

For the right individual, this is a genuine leadership opportunity with significant visibility across the organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll provide strategic commercial leadership across multiple projects and frameworks including:

Commercial Strategy & Leadership

• Driving commercial performance across the Power & Renewables portfolio


• Supporting business growth and market expansion


• Developing commercial governance and best practice


• Supporting business unit strategy and long-term planning

Tendering & Contract Management

• Leading commercial input into major bids and tenders


• Negotiating contract terms and risk positions


• Managing commercial and contractual strategy


• Supporting project selection and bid reviews

Project Commercial Oversight

• Monitoring project profitability, cashflow and performance


• Auditing project commercial controls


• Supporting commercial teams across multiple projects


• Ensuring accurate reporting and forecasting

Risk Management

• Identifying commercial and contractual risks


• Implementing mitigation strategies


• Supporting dispute avoidance and resolution


• Protecting business interests throughout project lifecycles

Leadership & Team Development

• Mentoring and developing commercial teams


• Building commercial capability across the business


• Driving continuous improvement initiatives


• Supporting succession planning and talent development

What They're Looking For

• Senior Commercial Manager, Commercial Lead or Commercial Director experience


• Strong background in engineering, infrastructure, utilities, power or renewables


• Deep understanding of contracts and risk management


• Proven commercial leadership experience


• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills


• Strong commercial acumen and business awareness
