Job Description

Design Lead with relocation to Belgium. 

The Design Lead will be responsible for the technical coordination and management of the design elements of construction projects, working closely with the Project Manager and wider project team.

The successful candidate will be organised and methodical, with experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, design consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.

The role requires relevant experience within the construction or contracting sector, strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities while working to project deadlines. A good understanding of health and safety, quality, programme, design coordination and commercial requirements is also required.

Requirements

• Degree-level qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or a related discipline.


• Relevant experience in design coordination, technical management or a similar construction-related role.


• Experience working with multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants.


• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver against project deadlines.


• Good understanding of construction processes, quality, health and safety and commercial considerations.


• Postgraduate qualifications and/or membership of a relevant professional body would be advantageous.
