Setting Out Engineer – Swords, North Dublin

Project: Residential Development – 3 Apartment Blocks (RC Frame)

Salary: Up to €55,000 DOE

Duration: 12–18 months remaining on project

An excellent opportunity for a Setting Out Engineer to join a growing construction company on a large-scale residential development in Swords, North Dublin.

The project comprises three apartment blocks with reinforced concrete (RC) frame construction, offering an exciting opportunity to gain further experience on a substantial residential scheme.

With approximately 12–18 months remaining on the project, this role would suit an experienced Setting Out Engineer or Site Engineer with strong setting out skills who is looking to develop their career.

Key Responsibilities:

  Carry out accurate setting out and surveying duties in line with drawings and specifications.

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor and coordinate engineering activities to ensure works are delivered to programme.

  
  


• 
  

  Review construction drawings and technical information, identifying and resolving discrepancies.

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure works comply with building regulations, quality standards and best construction practices.

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate subcontractors and monitor their work to ensure compliance with project requirements.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain accurate site records and ensure the correct distribution of technical information.

  
  


• 
  

  Promote and maintain high standards of health and safety on site.

  
  


• 
  

  Liaise with the Site Management team, design teams and subcontractors to ensure the smooth delivery of works.

  
  

Requirements

• 
  

  Relevant third-level qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline.

  
  


• 
  

  Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.

  
  


• 
  

  Proven setting out experience is essential.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience on residential or RC frame projects would be an advantage.
