Location:

The role will be located in the DMI HQ in the National Technology Park, Castletroy, Limerick, Ireland, with the option to work remotely on a hybridbasis.

Key Responsibilities andDuties:

Role overview:

With this role you will work as part of a Data Science team to support DMI and its clients. Together with the Product Twin and Production Twin teams, the successful candidate will optimise and simulate the digital twin of production lines, both on new and legacy processes.

Main responsibilities:

• Convey technical concepts clearly to a variety of audiences using the appropriate level of detail for the targetaudience.
• Scope, plan and execute digital twin projects to deliver tangible improvements to manufacturing production operations.
• Bringing cutting edge solutions to life across various manufacturing domains.
• Working with external partners, software vendors, universities, and our own team, to develop technologies needed to fulfil client requirements.
• Developing world class data solutions for Ireland’s manufacturing base.

Key Skills and Competencies:

Experience Required

• Integration of mechatronic components in a manufacturing cell.
• Validate speeds, parameters, changeovers, and client investment optimization through virtual systems beforestart-up.
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners in a globalsetup.
• Familiarity with PLM, Systems Engineering (MBSE), Modularization, Digital Manufacturing or Supply Chain implementation programs is highly desirable.
• Holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, management information systems, or a related technicalfield.

The following experience would be anadvantage

• Experience with Python, Matlab or R, is aplus.
• A background in Manufacturing Engineering and Industrial Processes is also an advantage.
