Location:            Riverside Park Hotel Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford

The Riverside Park Hotel & Leisure Club has a fantastic opportunity for a subcontracted Painter & Decorator to join our busy team. We take pride in maintaining the highest standards of aesthetics and functionality throughout the hotel. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Painter & Decorator to support our maintenance team.

Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the appearance of the hotel’s interior and exterior surfaces. This role includes painting, wallpapering, and ensuring all decorative work meets quality standards. Experience in wallpapering is essential. The ideal candidate will have professional experience in painting and decorating, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Prepare surfaces for painting and decorating, including cleaning, sanding, patching, priming, and wallpaper removal.
•    Apply paint, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, furniture, and exteriors.
•    Mix and match paint colours to achieve desired results.
•    Install and maintain wallpaper and decorative finishes as required.
•    Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
•    Maintain an organised and clean workspace.
•    Coordinate with the maintenance team and hotel management to schedule and complete painting and decorating projects efficiently.
•    Conduct routine inspections and touch-ups as needed.

Candidate Requirements:
•    Proven experience as a professional Painter & Decorator, preferably in a hospitality or commercial setting.
•    Extensive experience in wallpaper application is essential.
•    Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, tools, and wallpaper application.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•    Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
•    Physical ability to perform manual labour.
•    Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
•    Knowledge of decorative finishes such as stencilling or faux painting techniques.
•    Basic knowledge of safety procedures and best practices.
