Part-time Commis Chef - Hunter's Yard

The Role:

Hunter's Yard at Mount Juliet Estate will have a Part-Time vacancy for a Commis Chef with Pastry experience to join the team.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1 year's experience working in a busy hotel or Restaurant.  Shift work and weekend work are an essential part of this role. Flexibility is required in this position.  You must speak basic - fluent English and work to a high standard .

Candidates must be available to work flexible shifts including weekends.

Duties:

• Food Preparation


• Maintaining high standards of hygiene


• Taking directions from both Executive Chef and Senior Chef


• Ensuring co-operation with HACCP Standards at all times


• Ensuring the hygiene and food safety standards are met in all stages of food preparation


• Display excellence in food preparation and service


• Work effectively as part of a team


• Ensure a professional, friendly and courteous service

The successful candidate will

• Pastry Experience


• have excellent organisational skills


• have excellent attention to detail


• have good communication skills


• be willing to work shift work and weekends as required


• be willing to work as part of a team


• One years in a similar role
