We are seeking to hire an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our Outsourced Payroll team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of industries while developing your technical payroll expertise within a supportive and collaborative team environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality payroll services, ensuring compliance with Irish payroll legislation and providing an exceptional client experience.

Main Responsibilities

  • Process payrolls of varying complexity across weekly, fortnightly and monthly frequencies.
  • Reconcile payrolls on a periodic basis and ensure accuracy of payroll data.
  • Manage payroll-related client queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external clients.
  • Adhere to internal controls and payroll best practices to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Upload employee net pay files across multiple banking platforms, including AIB, BOI, HSBC and other financial institutions.
  • Liaise with third-party providers, including pension and health insurance providers, regarding payroll-related administration.
  • Ensure all payroll submissions and statutory returns are completed accurately and submitted to Revenue within required deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and supporting documentation.
  • Support the wider payroll team with additional duties and projects as required.

 

Skills and Attributes

  • 1-2 years' previous experience in a payroll position.
  • Experience working in a payroll bureau environment would be advantageous.
  • Relevant professional qualification such as IPASS, Accounting Technician or Tax Technician would be desirable.
  • Strong technical, organisational and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client payrolls and meet strict deadlines.
  • Experience delivering accurate and timely payroll services.
  • Working knowledge of PAYE, PRSI, USC, BIK, ROS, EFT and CSO reporting requirements.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to changing business requirements.
  • A positive, proactive attitude with strong client service focus and enthusiasm.
