€60,059 – €68,723 per annum (dependent on experience)

Their mission is to empower individuals to live inclusive, self-directed lives through residential care, day programmes, respite, and community-based supports.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Person in Charge to lead the day-to-day running of a brand-new, state-of-the-art residential service in Letteragh, Galway. This is a genuine opportunity to shape culture, build your team, and make a lasting impact from day one.
The Service
This purpose-built development includes:
A beautifully designed 4-bedroom bungalow built to the highest standards, complete with ceiling hoists, large accessible wet rooms, and wide corridors.
Modern, fully furnished apartments where individuals receive one-to-one support.
A brand-new Day Service, due to open imminently, providing further opportunities for growth, independence, and community engagement.
Role Overview
As Person in Charge, you will have responsibility for the effective provision and operation of services to adults within the designated centre, encompassing residential and short break respite services. You will ensure full compliance with organisational policies, national legislation including the Health Act 2007, and HIQA regulations, while fostering a person-centred environment that promotes the autonomy, dignity, and wellbeing of every individual you support.
Key Responsibilities
Provide overall direction for the running of the designated centre and ensure a homely, supportive atmosphere.
Manage and monitor the annual budget, including staffing and all aspects of expenditure, operating within approved budgets.
Develop and implement person-centred programmes that reflect the individual aspirations and needs of each person supported.
Manage staff of all grades: supervision, development, training, rostering, and performance management.
Ensure full compliance with HIQA regulations and all relevant national legislation.
Co-ordinate administration, supervision, and recording of prescribed medication in line with policy.
Establish and maintain respectful relationships with individuals, promoting independence and personal choice.
Foster community participation and develop links between the service and the local community.
Complete Core HR reporting weekly, log incidents on QMIS in a timely manner, and submit all required reports.
Liaise with families, multidisciplinary teams, and external agencies with tact and professionalism.
Ensure effective safeguards are in place for residents' personal finances and accounts.
Undertake driving duties in service vehicles or own transport as required.
Essential Requirements
Minimum 3 years' experience in a management or supervisory role in health or social care.
Level 7 or higher QQI-recognised qualification in nursing, social care, or health science.
