Job Description - Playgroup Leader

Job Title: Playgroup Leader

Employer: ABACO INDEPENDENT CONSULTANTS LIMITED

Location: RATHFARNHAM WAR MEMORIAL HALL, 39, Rathfarnham Road, Dublin 6W, D6W RV10

Salary: 34k per year

Hours: 39 hrs per week

Responsibilities:

•To supervise children at all times - indoor and outdoor and not leave children unattended in any circumstances

•To be attentive to the individual needs of all children in your care

•To deal with issues as they arise in relation to the wellbeing of children

•To ensure all quality and safety standards are met within the service.

•To liaise with parents who are the primary carers and educators of children and to keep them informed of children’s well - being and progress

Requirements:

• Hold a minimum Level 5 or higher qualifications in Early Childhood Education and Care

• Minimum Two years of experience working with children of all age groups in early years setting preferably in Ireland, is desirable

• Kindness, warmth and responsiveness to the needs of children

• Good communication and relating skills with children, staff and parents
