Job Description - Principal Recruiter

Klaviyo is building its Dublin engineering hub—and we’re looking for a Principal Technical Recruiter to be the first recruiting hire on the ground. This is a rare opportunity to shape a new office, build high-impact engineering teams from zero to scale, and leave a lasting imprint on Klaviyo’s culture in EMEA.


As a senior member of the Talent Acquisition team, you will operate as both a hands-on recruiter and a strategic partner, owning the full lifecycle of technical hiring while helping define how we recruit, interview, and grow engineering talent in Dublin. Your work will directly influence Klaviyo’s growth, culture, and technical excellence.

How You Will Make a Difference


Build From the Ground Up



  • Serve as the first recruiting hire in the Dublin office, partnering closely with engineering leadership to launch and scale new teams.

  • Design and execute hiring strategies for software engineers and technical leaders in a competitive European market.

  • Help establish Klaviyo’s employer brand and recruiting presence in Dublin.


Own the Full Recruiting Lifecycle



  • Lead end-to-end technical recruiting—from proactive sourcing and talent mapping through offer negotiation and close.

  • Deliver a thoughtful, high-touch candidate experience that reflects Klaviyo’s values and commitment to people.

  • Own hiring outcomes, including pipeline health, time-to-fill, and quality of hire.


Be a Strategic Partner



  • Partner deeply with hiring managers as a trusted advisor on market insights, role design, and hiring decisions.

  • Use data and analytics to drive smarter, more efficient recruiting practices and inform long-term workforce planning.


Improve and Scale Our Process



  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, workflows, and interview practices as we grow in Dublin.

  • Bring fresh perspectives and practical solutions—your voice will matter, and your ideas will shape how we hire.


Represent Klaviyo



  • Act as an ambassador for Klaviyo through outreach, events, referrals, and social channels.

  • Be the first impression many candidates have of Klaviyo, balancing empathy and authenticity with business needs.


Who You Are



  • 5+ years of experience in full-cycle technical recruiting, ideally supporting high-growth or scaling engineering organizations

  • Comfortable operating autonomously and excited to build something new without a playbook

  • Deeply people-centric, empathetic, and relationship-driven

  • Data-informed and results-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

  • Energized by challenge and motivated by continuous personal and professional growth

  • Able to balance exceptional candidate experience with ambitious hiring goals
