Dublin This role is deemed as a Controlled Function role under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness and Probity Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.

As a Barclays Private Banker, you will be growing, managing, and maintaining a book of ultra-high net worth and family offices clients in Italy and potentially other EEA countries. You will bring an established and proven network of contacts in Italy and would actively leverage that to develop the Private Bank’s penetration into this market. The primary location for the role is Dublin, and potentially offering the possibility to work in our Barclays offices in Milan in the near future, subject to changes in our operating model in Italy.

What will you be doing?
• Working as a team in achieving targets for new client acquisition, netting new asset, credit, investment acquisitions, and revenues
• Maintaining the highest levels of client service and delivery, and acting as key contact for banking products, credit advice and client queries
• Delivering high quality bespoke advice, maximising value for our clients and negotiating the best commercial outcome
• Acting as the key interface between the client and other teams including Wealth Advisory, Discretionary Portfolio Management, Investment Advisory, Global, Investment & Solutions
• Being able and willing to discuss markets, their issues, and opportunities with clients
• Fully utilising the banker toolset, systems and platforms, and challenging current standards to continuously improve quality
• Engaging with digital technologies, products and solutions that are relevant to the Wealth business, and using them to enhance the service provided to clients
• Having technical knowledge and expertise in applying analytical reasoning and judgement to solve highly complex problems, delivering the highest levels of client advice and service

What we’re looking for:
• Exceptional relationship skills and experience of managing and handling the needs of private client individuals and families
• Ability to gain in-depth understanding of clients’ needs and advising on a diverse range of wealth management solutions
• Fluency in English and Italian languages with previous experience in controlling and monitoring of risk within a client book
• Previous experience of the Financial Services industry, ideally in the areas of Retail regulated products and services to mass market and high net worth customers and asset management

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Irish Qualified Financial Advisor QFA designation or the Accredited Product Advisor APA designation, or studding towards these and understanding of the digital landscape
• Excellent market exposure and multi-disciplined private banking expertise
• Business development and cold calling skills and ability provide world class financial solutions
• Being a highly self-motivated, independent self-starter who needs the minimum of supervision Where will you be working?
You will be based in our new flagship office, One Molesworth Street, which is in the heart of Dublin city Centre. We are currently expanding which drives a culture of change and hard work ethic, nonetheless the company maintains an open, friendly atmosphere. This is enhanced through our unique on boarding programs and several committees which all employees are eligible to join.
