About the Role
We are looking for a qualified Project Accountant to join our Finance team on a temporary contract. This is a project-focused role with a strong emphasis on systems, process improvement and financial controls.
Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, you will take ownership of key Finance initiatives, working with Finance and wider business stakeholders to improve processes, implement systems and strengthen financial controls.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with experience in finance transformation, systems implementation or process improvement to make a direct impact within a growing international business.
Key Responsibilities
Review and improve existing Finance processes, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and strengthen controls.
Support the implementation and optimisation of Finance systems, including process design, testing, stakeholder engagement and user support.
Review, develop and implement Finance policies, procedures and SOPs.
Support the review and enhancement of financial controls, approval processes and governance frameworks.
Support projects relating to VAT, indirect tax and other financial compliance requirements across the Group.
Support Finance through new business initiatives, organisational changes or the establishment of new entities.
Work closely with Finance and wider business stakeholders to deliver projects within agreed timelines.
Identify process inefficiencies and control gaps and implement practical improvements.
Maintain clear and accurate process and project documentation.
Requirements
About You
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
3–5 years' post-qualified experience, ideally within Group Finance, financial control or a transformation environment.
Experience in finance systems implementation, process improvement or finance transformation.
Strong understanding of financial controls and accounting processes.
Experience with VAT, indirect tax and/or payroll taxes across multiple jurisdictions is desirable but not essential.
Experience developing and implementing SOPs, policies and process documentation.
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems/ERPs.
Experience managing projects and working with multiple stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Pragmatic, hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership and deliver practical improvements.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to understand the wider business context.
