Our client is a well-established engineering solutions provider specialising in the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of process equipment and systems for highly regulated manufacturing environments. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Project Engineer to join a growing engineering team and gain exposure to diverse, technically challenging projects from concept through to commissioning.

The Role

As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of process engineering projects, supporting the design, procurement, installation and commissioning of complex process systems.

You will work within a multidisciplinary project team, taking ownership of smaller projects and supporting senior engineers on larger-scale programmes. The role offers significant client interaction, technical responsibility and opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual process and engineering solutions to meet client requirements.


• Prepare technical proposals and project documentation.


• Deliver detailed engineering design across process, mechanical and instrumentation disciplines.


• Collaborate with electrical and controls teams to support integrated system design.


• Manage material procurement and subcontractor coordination.


• Oversee and review engineering drawings and technical documentation.


• Support project safety, quality and regulatory compliance requirements.


• Participate in factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT) and commissioning activities.


• Liaise with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.


• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices.

 Required Experience

Essential

• Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or related discipline.


• 3–5 years' experience in a Project Engineering role.


• Experience delivering projects within one or more of the following sectors:




• Pharmaceutical


• Biotechnology


• Food & Beverage


• Dairy Manufacturing


• Life Sciences




• Strong technical problem-solving and organisational skills.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.


• Demonstrated initiative and commitment to delivering quality outcomes.

Desirable

• Experience working with process equipment manufacturers, systems integrators or mechanical contractors.


• Exposure to fabrication, installation and commissioning activities.


• Familiarity with regulated manufacturing environments and validation processes.
