Job Description - Quality Assurance Officer

About the role

 


We have a great opportunity for a Quality Assurance Officer to join us, at our site in Charleville.


 


Reporting into the QA Manager, this is a dynamic and fast-paced role, working across one of our complex dryer sites.


 


Day to day, you will be responsible for monitoring the finished product, starting each day with a preliminary grading report, sharing updates in the morning meeting and calling out any quality points within the last 24 hours.


 


You will also review SAP for chemical and micro analysis, assist on interventions on the live system, including swabbing etc. to ensure food safety and carry out the grading of finished products each day. Other tasks include daily hygiene walks, reviewing logbooks, investigations and customer complaint support.

What you'll be doing

 



  • Product Grading and Batch Release

  • Plant Deviation Investigations

  • Customer Complaint Investigations

  • Conducting internal compliance audits

  • Reviewing and assessing GMP documentation compliance

  • Providing support to external Customer, Certification and Regulatory audits

  • CAPA and NCR processing

  • Procedural review and updates

  • Conducting internal compliance audits

  • Daily reporting of product Quality outputs, reviewing and assessing plant GMP compliance


 

What you can bring to the role

 



  • Primary Degree in Science (Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science or equivalent) - would be preferable. 

  • Previous experience within a similar role within food manufacturing.

  • Excellent technical, organizational, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.

  • Dynamic, self-driven and capable of working on your own initiative and as part of a cross functional team.

  • Working knowledge of GMP and HACCP principals.

  • Competencies in IT based applications such as SAP etc.
