Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and organised Receptionist to join Dr Ajina’s surgery. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the surgery’s reception area.

Hours and location:
Location: 1A Orwell Park Heights, Templeogue, Dublin, D6W AD14
Flexibility is required, Monday-Sunday
Hours: minimum 9 hours per week
Shift is as follows: 3:00pm-6pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer incoming phone calls in a polite and professional manner, directing queries as appropriate.


• Welcome and assist patients attending the surgery.


• Manage appointment bookings and patient check-ins.


• Handle filing, record keeping, and general administrative tasks.


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with confidentiality policies.


• Provide excellent communication between patients, staff, and external providers.


• Support the day-to-day reception operations and assist with ad-hoc duties as required.

Skills & Requirements:

• Previous reception or administrative experience preferred (medical setting an advantage).


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional manner.


• Good organisational and multitasking abilities.


• Basic IT and telephone system skills.


• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.


• Reliable and flexible with a proactive approach to work.

Hours & Benefits:

• Part-time: 3 days per week, 3pm – 6pm. (hours may extend to morning sessions)
