Job Description - Recognition, Wellbeing and Inclusion lead

We are currently recruiting for a Recognition, Wellbeing and Inclusion lead to join the People and Culture team! The role will be hybrid (3 days in the Dublin or Crawley office and 2 days from home) with some global travel to. 



The Recognition, Inclusion, and Wellbeing Lead reports to the Head of People and Culture and focuses on creating a positive and inclusive work environment by managing employee recognition programmes, promoting diversity and inclusion, and supporting employee wellbeing and benefits initiatives across the whole of Scope (UK, Ireland and USA). The role develops and implements strategies to improve employee recognition, wellbeing, engagement and satisfaction, fostering a culture where everyone feels valued and respected. 



Key Responsibilities


Recognition and Reward



  • Develop an organisational employee recognition strategy, and delivery plan, which covers all aspects of recognition at Scope.

  • Lead the implementation of Scope’s recognition programmes to celebrate employee achievements and contributions. 

  • Identify and address areas where recognition could be improved. 

  • Partner with the People and Culture team, leaders and managers to promote a positive work environment. 

  • Develop strategic and operational relationships both internally and externally to promote recognition at Scope.

  • Create and deliver presentations and facilitate recognition workshops as well as facilitating team discussions when needed.

  • Work closely with the Head of People and Culture on budget management, forecasting and monitoring; ensuring work is well planned, demonstrates value for money and is monitored effectively.

  • Work with the HR team to review employee rewards and benefits to ensure these are effective and well promoted across Scope.

  • Assist in the communication of recognition, reward and employee benefits initiatives via multiple platforms, e.g. webinar, Workvivo, BambooHR.


 


Wellbeing



  • Develop an organisational employee Health and Wellbeing Strategy, and delivery plan, which covers all aspects of wellbeing at Scope.

  • Lead on the implementation plans of the Health and Wellbeing Strategy.

  • Identify and address areas where wellbeing could be improved. 

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in health, wellbeing and inclusion at work.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of wellbeing initiatives. 

  • Advise and support employees on wellbeing matters. 

  • Coordinate and lead the internal health and wellbeing working group.

  • Promote the Five Ways to Wellbeing across Scope, at both strategic and operational levels.

  • Develop strategic and operational relationships both internally and externally to promote health, wellbeing and inclusion at Scope.

  • Create and deliver presentations and facilitate wellbeing workshops as well as facilitating team discussions when needed.

  • Work closely with the HR team to manage our Employee Assistance Programme to maximise and evaluate this programme on an ongoing basis.

  • Coordinate and lead the internal Mental Health First Aiders group.

  • Evaluate the impact of health and wellbeing interventions and present these back to a wide range of stakeholders including senior leaders.

  • Maintain an up-to-date awareness of key public health developments through liaison with local, regional and national organisations.

  • Work closely with the HR team to manage our Ergonomic assessments.

  • Work closely with the Head of People and Culture on budget management, forecasting and monitoring; ensuring work is well planned, demonstrates value for money and is monitored effectively.

  • Identify and seek opportunities for external funding to offset costs or generate new projects.

  • Provide expertise, advice, and guidance to Scope on improving the mental health and wellbeing of colleagues to increase productivity and reduce sickness absence and presenteeism.


 


Inclusion and Diversity



  • Work with the HR Partners and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion working group, to develop and implement inclusion strategies which foster a diverse and inclusive workplace. 

  • Contribute to the development of an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategy, through the lens of inclusion within the workplace.

  • Lead and support diversity and inclusion initiatives. 

  • Promote a culture of respect and understanding among employees. 

  • Create and deliver presentations and facilitate wellbeing workshops as well as facilitating team discussions when needed.



Qualifications



  • A degree in HR, sociology, mental health or a related field. 

  • In some cases, career experience in a similar role would be considered equivalent to the above qualification.

  • Project management qualification or equivalent experience of leading recognition, wellbeing and inclusion projects.


 


Specific Knowledge, Skills and Experience



  • Evidence of successfully embedding recognition, wellbeing and inclusion initiatives.

  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and analytical skills.

  • Strong track record of reviewing, creating and communicating reports and status updates.

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills with a track record of delivering effectively.

  • Strong attention to detail and experience working in a fast paced and high energy environment.

  • Collaborates well with colleagues, develops good relationships with them and shares knowledge and insights openly.

  • Proven ability to work cross functionally and with external stakeholders.

  • Able to use initiative to operate with minimal supervision knowing when to consult/inform.

  • A good sense of humour and a bright, enthusiastic personality.

  • Ability to travel within own country (10%) and internationally (10%).
