Job Description - Regional Quality Manager

Regional Quality Manager

Do you have a passion for beer quality and excellence in customer and consumer experiences? Are you an experienced leader with a track record for delivering results through others? If so, we want you to join our team as a Regional Quality Manager and be a critical business partner to our sales team.

At Diageo, our vision is to serve the best looking and tasting beer in Ireland. As Regional Quality Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in achieving this vision by owning and driving the commercial agenda while leveraging technology to improve the overall quality of our products. You will be responsible for delivering the Quality Strategy across approximately 1,500 outlets with NSV delivery of €70m, budget responsibility of €250-300K (including cold room grants and play a critical role in event coordination in your region.

Your impact will be felt across ROI as you ensure that Diageo brands show up brilliantly and are enjoyed by consumers in every call. You'll lead implementation of our Quality Strategy by working closely with cross-functional teams both internally (Sales/Quality Operations/Marketing and Innovation) and externally (Quality Service Providers). Your decisions will be data-driven insights derived from field perspective data points on the 7Cs, which are critical to ensuring consistent freshness, correct dispense gas, consistent beer temperature, clean beer lines, clean branded glassware, consumer visibility and crafted presentation

As an expert in draught technology and related fields such as health & safety and industry legislation, you will provide first-class quality consultancy service (both internally and externally) while leveraging your experience to shape the future of Diageo's Quality Strategy in Ireland. You'll work diligently to build strong relationships with key account executives, sales managers, quality service providers, while leveraging Diageo Way of Selling and consultative Quality conversations to achieve best-in-class relationships with customers.

We're looking for someone who is highly organised, comfortable moving from detail-oriented work to strategic decision-making tasks while prioritizing workloads for service providers. As an effective communicator able to influence change at different levels of the organisation - including third-party service providers - you'll also possess excellent relationship-building skills along with strong commercial acumen

Essential qualifications / experience needed

Technical qualification with 7 years experience in a mix of roles such as brewing, sales, quality and commercial

Knowledge / understanding of draught product manufacture and all aspects of dispense / cooling technology

Experience of influencing a larger, remote service provider team

Experience of technical installation, technical dispense problem solving abilities and practical project management experience.

Degree in science or engineering would be advantageous.

Excellent relationship building, communication skills, negotiation, and conflict management skills.

Strong presentation capabilities and ability to influence and deliver change through different levels of the organization and with 3rd party service providers.

Strong commercial acumen with experience of dealing with commercial issues.

Demonstrated history of achievement through others

Comfortable with the use of technology to improve field teams effectiveness.

Passion for beer quality and excellence in customer services

Team player and ability to work autonomously with excellent time management skills

P&L literacy – strong numerical and analytical skills
