Registered Nurse

Qualified Children/General/Intellectual Disability Nurses Required to join the MyHomecare team.

The ideal candidate would have previous experience with children with complex needs and would also be a companionate and reliable individual capable of working on their own initiative

We currently have 5 night shifts available in Westmeath, in the area between Kilbeggan & Tullamore.

The shifts would be 8 hours, working with a child with complex needs in their own home.

• All mandatory courses are available to all our Registered Nurses as well as any other course required.

My Homecare Registered Nurses must have the following;

• In date and current ABA/NMBI pin.
• Willingness to undergo any training required.
• All nurses are required to undergo Garda Vetting
• Nurses must be Willing to register with the INMO or affiliated union.
• Full immunizations and Vaccination history will need to be provided.
• Full clean driving license desirable
• Previous experience working with Children

My Homecare Nursing Duties:

• Medication Management
• Seizure management
• Nebulizer management
• Pain management

Management of Enteral feeding

• Care of child with complex needs/disability
• Airway Management
• Suctioning
• Care of child with dystonia
• Moving and handling /hoist and re-positioning.
• Skin integrity management.
• Professional boundaries/ Confidentiality
• Working in the home environment/lone worker
• Infection control and disposal of clinical waste
• CPR
