Senior Legal Counsel

We are a fast-growing B2B SAAS corporate gifting platform, empowering companies to build meaningful connections through thoughtful, personalized gifts. As we scale we’re looking for a for commercially-savvy and operationally-minded Senior Legal Counsel to join our growing team.You’ll report directly to our CEO and act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the business. This is a key hire to help iterate, streamline and scale our internal legal processes, supporting both product innovation and business expansion globally.
This is a unique opportunity to own and build out our legal function from the inside, navigating global legal challenges in a scaling business.Be a legal advisor to cross-functional teams:

• Lead negotiations for a wide variety of contracts: SaaS agreements, DPAs, MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, vendor and enterprise customer agreements.
• Maintain and update legal templates, playbooks, and enablement tools.
• Streamline legal processes and support international expansion and new market entry.
• Advise on GDPR, commercial, corporate, insurance, logistics, and compliance matters.
• Build strong internal relationships and act as the go-to legal point of contact.
• Educate teams on contract terms, risks, and best practices.
• Develop and implement policies and workflows to enable fast, risk-aware decision making.

Support privacy and compliance initiatives:

• Assist customer privacy  teams with understanding &Open’s data handling practices.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and operations to ensure privacy-by-design principles are upheld and compliance with AI governance.
• Support our Global Privacy Programme and own key documentation and process reviews.
• Stay up to date with evolving privacy regulations.

Assist with strategic and corporate legal matters:

• Support legal aspects of business model changes, new product areas, and investment initiatives.
• Assist CFO and external counsel with board matters, corporate governance and stock option schemes.
• Help manage IP including trademarks and patents.
• Provide legal support on HR and employment-related matters.

• You are an Irish-qualified solicitor or barrister with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• You are a commercial, strategic thinker who understands how legal and business goals align.
• You have strong contract negotiation skills and experience across commercial, tech, and privacy matters in a B2B context.
• You’ve worked in both law firm and in-house environments (ideally supporting a sales team).
• You’re a self-starter with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
• You thrive in fast-paced environments and have a no-task-too-small attitude.
• You’re confident advising senior stakeholders and simplifying complex legal topics for cross-functional teams.
• Experience with international legal frameworks and projects is a plus.
