Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role
​

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will take a lead role in delivering Quantity Surveying services, managing client relationships, and supporting the development of ORS’s Quantity Surveying capability. This role suits a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor who enjoys autonomy and influence within a growing team.

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead commercial management of projects from inception to completion


• Preparation and review of cost plans, cost reports, and cashflows


• Oversight of procurement strategy and tender evaluation


• Management of subcontractor accounts, variations, and final accounts


• Identification and management of commercial risks and opportunities


• Client-facing role, providing commercial advice and reporting


• Mentoring and support of junior QS staff (as the team grows)


• Contribution to the development of ORS QS processes and best practice
  

Essential Requirements

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline


• 6+ years’ relevant Quantity Surveying experience


• Chartered (MRICS) or working toward chartership desirable 


• Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract


• Proven experience managing projects independently


• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills


• Irish project experience essential
