Role Overview:
Position: Rent Assessment Teamer Leader
Reporting to: Income and Resolution Manager
Location: Dublin
Contract: Permanent
Salary: €45,830 - €63,017
Rent Assessment Team Leader:
The Rent Assessment Teamer Leader plays a critical role in overseeing all rent and service charge review processes, including annual and ad-hoc assessments. They lead a team responsible for ensuring accurate and timely assessments whilst maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Lead the Rent Assessment Team:
Lead on the coordination of rent assessment and service charge calculation activities across all Clúid housing operations and tenures.
Provide leadership, coaching, training, and mentoring to the Rent Assessment Team, enabling them to provide an excellent, professional service.
Rent and Service Charge Calculations:
Lead and coordinate the annual rent and service charge assessment process for all General Needs, Clann, Cost Rental and Private Rental properties, including the assessment of rental properties, calculation of rent increases, and communication with residents regarding rent adjustments.
Embed and review the revised annual rent assessment process that is set to be delivered by the new Housing Management System, identifying success or areas for improvement in the process for future years.
Audit a sample of rent assessments to ensure the quality of assessments and compliance with relevant Local Authority and Clúid policies.
Ad-hoc and New-Let Rent Assessments:
Provide support and guidance to the Rents Advisor in completing ad-hoc rent assessments for new tenancies, transfers, changes in circumstances, and other rent-related queries.
Audit an agreed sample of ad-hoc and new let rent assessments for all Clúid tenures to ensure the on-going quality of rent assessments and compliance with relevant Local Authority and Clúid policies.
Where required, work with the Lettings Team to support or resolve queries regarding new let rent assessments.
Policy and Procedure:
Work closely with the Income and Resolution Manager to develop and regularly review policy and procedure documents in relation to the delivery of rent assessment activities.
Work with colleagues in Operational Excellence to continuously review the rent assessment process, identifying and supporting in the delivery of identified improvements.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and local authority requirements, organisational policies, and best practices in rent assessment and review procedures.
Monitor Performance:
Work with senior management to agree and review objectives and targets in relation to rent assessments.
Take accountability for rent assessment performance, continuously monitoring, preparing reports and presenting progress on rent assessment KPIs, focussed on meeting key targets.
Complaints and Resident Voice
Actively seek out and recognise the Resident Voice as an authority on our services
Work with team members, management across Operations and the Complaints Manager as required to effectively resolve complaints relating to the service area in line with Clúid’s complaints policy.
Take ownership of any remedial actions or improvement commitments identified through service complaints to drive continuous improvement.
Who we are looking for:
Person specification:
Good knowledge of housing law and tenancy agreements including relevant legislation and regulation.
Demonstrates a willingness to learn.
Able to draft, review and evaluate policy, procedure and process
Data analysis and ability to produce clear and concise reports
Strong influencing skills and able to work with a diverse range of stakeholders
Continuous improvement mindset, able to identify areas of improvement and confident in managing change
Able to provide advice, support and training to colleagues of all levels Experience of monitoring performance and driving improvement
Experience of leading and managing a diverse team
Experience of delivering an excellent resident-focused service to a diverse range of residents
Project and change management, proven experience of working with multiple stakeholders
Proven ability to engage effectively with residents, with the ability to de-escalate, negotiate, and manage issues.
