Robotics Automation Developer

Job Description

Role Summary:

Sun Life is building out its RPA capabilities, and expanding the team to identify, configure, deploy, and support bots and other solutions that can automate manual tasks, improve the client experience and allow our employees to focus on higher-value activities.

Sun Life is seeking an experienced Robotics Process Automation Developer. The successful candidate will join a high-performing team in delivering and supporting robotic process automations. Reporting to the Associate Director, Process Automation, the Developer will be accountable for building new automation projects, creating prototypes, and enhancing and trouble-shooting new and deployed bots.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Provide programming expertise in the analysis, design, and development of robotics automation applications.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Blueprism Tool and leading RPA tools.
  • Create and maintain the Solution Design Document (SDD) throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conducting component testing on the solution
  • Ability to triage issues in Prod efficiently to enable faster resolution of warranty defects.
  • Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written and design, code, test, debug, and document programs.
  • Provide technical leadership for small to medium scale projects.
  • Provide technical support to Process Analysts to ensure that project deliverables are met with high quality / low defect builds.
  • Identify conflicting business practices and integration issues, suggesting alternative solutions.

Education, Experience & Technical Competencies

  • A BA/BS degree preferably in Computer Science and 5+ years of IT experience
  • At least 3 years of experience developing robotics automation solutions.
  • Must have hands-on knowledge in developing bots on Blueprism and MS Power Automate.
  • Certifications working with Blue Prism (AD01, APD01) is required.
