Learn more about our benefits. \n\nWe are looking for a Safety Coordinator to join our Ireland Field Service Operations team on a 12 -24 month fixed\u2011term contract, supporting a major industrial equipment installation and commissioning project in a controlled manufacturing environment.\n\nThe role will be offered initially on a 12\u2011month Fixed Term Contract, with the potential to extend for a further 12 months based on business needs.\n\nWhat you will do:\n\nThis role is responsible for ensuring that installation and start\u2011up activities are carried out safely and in full compliance with corporate safety standards, regulatory requirements, and project\u2011specific controls. The Safety Coordinator will work closely with project teams, contractors, and Environmental, Health \u0026 Safety (EHS) partners to promote a strong safety culture and reduce risk throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nThis position requires a visible, hands\u2011on safety presence at our customer site in Leixlip, Co. Kildare, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast\u2011paced, high\u2011risk project environment.\n\nRole Responsibilities\n\n * Carry out daily site safety walks and follow up on observations and corrective actions\n * Support site safety inductions and onboarding for new starters and contractors\n * Assist with pre\u2011task planning, job hazard analysis, and dynamic risk assessments\n * Support permit\u2011to\u2011work activities (e.g. LOTO, confined spaces, working at heights)\n * Monitor compliance with safety procedures, PPE requirements, and site rules\n * Support incident and near\u2011miss investigations and corrective actions\n * Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings as required\n * Prepare weekly and monthly safety reports and track safety KPIs\n * Support project readiness reviews, key installation milestones, and start\u2011up activities\n * Act as a link between project teams, EHS, and on\u2011site service partners\n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\n * Recognised Health \u0026 Safety qualification at NFQ Level 7 or equivalent ((e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent)\n * Strong communication and safety documentation skills\n * Ability to work effectively in a fast\u2011paced, high\u2011risk project environment\n * Hands\u2011on, proactive approach with a visible on\u2011site presence\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n * Experience supporting equipment installation, or manufacturing projects\n * Experience in controlled or highly regulated environments\n * Familiarity with equipment installation, commissioning, or start\u2011up activities\n * Recent graduates with relevant industry or project experience will be considered\n\n\n\nWhy Join This Project?\n\n * Be part of a large\u2011scale, high\u2011visibility industrial project with strong safety leadership and clear standards\n * Gain hands\u2011on experience supporting complex equipment installation and commissioning activities\n * Work in a collaborative, on\u2011site environment alongside experienced project, engineering, and EHS professionals\n * Opportunity to make a real impact on safety performance and culture\n * Potential contract extension beyond the initial 12 months, subject to business needs\n\n\n\nAdditional Information\n\nTime Type:\n\nFull time\n\nEmployee Type:\n\nFixed Term (Fixed Term)\n\nTravel:\n\nNo\n\nRelocation Eligible:\n\nNo\n\nApplied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
