Sales Manager

Our client - Irelands largest hotel group are seeking an experienced Sales manager to join their growing Sales team in a 4 star luxury hotel in Sligo.
The Sales Manager role is highly interactive and operates in a fast-paced environment. This key position within a dynamic sales team demands strong administrative abilities coupled with excellent communication skills. The role offers a prominent position within the corporate landscape, managing an essential market segment within the hotel's business mix.

The ideal candidate:

Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality sector.

Proactive sales experience is essential.

Excellent communication skills with fluency in spoken and written English.

Must have access to a car for work and hold a full Driver's Licence.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee key corporate accounts, maximizing their potential.

Handle transient accounts by negotiating rates and confirming contracts to meet budget targets.

Prospect New Business: Actively seek out and convert new accounts.

RFP Management: Manage the annual RFP process, using market insights and pricing strategies to enhance hotel profitability.

Analyze Reports: Use monthly reports to identify and develop new business opportunities.

Monitor Competitors: Keep track of competitors' performance, rates, and activities.

Keep the CRM system Alkimi up to date and use it to track potential business.

Utilize various business intelligence tools to attract and secure hotel business.

Develop and implement plans for top corporate accounts, including pricing and sales activities.

Organize hotel site visits and entertain clients.

Handle group and event enquiries, ensuring smooth transition to the Events Team.

Travel: Regular travel is required.
