SAP P2P / Ariba Functional Consultant - Cork, Ireland

Our Client, a global pharmaceutical company, is seeking an experienced seasoned SAP P2P /
Ariba Consultant with strong functional Procure-to-Pay (P2P) expertise and hands-on experience in SAP Ariba and SAP ERP (ECC or
S/4HANA). This role is key to supporting the digital transformation of
procurement processes, optimising sourcing-to-settlement cycles, and ensuring
seamless integration between SAP Ariba and core SAP systems.The ideal candidate will have a solid
understanding of both indirect and direct procurement, workflow
design, and compliance requirements, and will work closely with
procurement, finance, and IT stakeholders to drive process excellence.

• Serve as the functional expert for the P2P and SAP Ariba integration landscape, covering sourcing, contracts, purchasing, invoicing, and supplier management
  
• Configure and support SAP Ariba modules:
  Ariba Buying & Invoicing
  Ariba Sourcing
  Ariba Supplier Lifecycle & Performance (SLP)
  
• Align SAP Ariba with SAP ECC or S/4HANA backend:
  PR/PO integration
  Invoice reconciliation
  Tax and payment data alignment
  
• Facilitate business workshops to gather requirements and translate them into Ariba functional designs
  
• Support end-to-end PR to PO, GRN, invoice matching, and approval workflows
  
• Ensure data consistency between Ariba and SAP systems (e.g., supplier master, catalogues, contracts)
  
• Lead or support testing cycles including SIT, UAT, and regression testing
  
• Resolve system and process issues in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  
• Design and deliver training materials and change management content for end users
  
• Ensure adherence to SOX and internal control requirements
  
• Document configurations, process flows, and change requests clearly and audit-ready
  

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in SAP P2P
  with at least 5+ years in SAP Ariba implementations or support
  
• Deep functional understanding of Procure-to-Pay business
  processes
  
• Experience in workflow configuration and approval logic
  
• Hands-on experience in integration of Ariba with SAP ECC or
  S/4HANA
  
• Solid grasp of master data (vendors, materials), catalogues,
  sourcing rules
  
• Experience in supporting data migration and cleansing
  activities
  
• Strong knowledge of invoice reconciliation and GR/IR
  processes
  
• Familiarity with indirect procurement, compliance rules, and
  procurement controls
  
• Excellent stakeholder management and
  communication skills
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ariba certification(s) or SAP Certified Application Associate –
  Ariba Procurement
  
• Experience with contract management and supplier
  onboarding
  
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable integration
  
• Familiarity with cloud integration gateways (e.g., SAP
  CIG, middleware like CPI or PI/PO)
  
• Experience in regulated industries or global
  procurement environments
