Senior Associate, Fund/Client Accounting

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate, Fund/Client Accounting to join our Fund Accounting team. This role is located in Cork – Hybrid (3 days in offer p/week 

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Demonstrate an ability to lead and mentor staff with strong organisational, inter-personal and communication skills. 
  • Show initiative and enthusiasm with an ability to set and achieve challenging goals
  • Responsible for the scheduling of work and ensuring that the necessary controls are followed to provide accurate and timely fund accounting/administration services to clients.
  • Responsible for ensuring that BNY Mellon standard policies, procedures and controls are always adhered to.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

  • Communicate any significant operational issues that arise to Manager. 
  • Conducts accounting services on complex funds including determining net asset values, calculating fund performance, and preparing reports.
  • Performs complex Fund/Client Accounting responsibilities in the areas of driving Service Improvement plans, targeting efficiencies, enhancing processes and specialist review functions. 
  • Drafts reports for clients in response to various fund-related queries 
  • Regularly interacts with clients in answering questions and resolving issues regarding fund reports and accounting processes.
  • Help to determine the impact of new regulations on BNY Mellon fund accounting practices.
  • Provides guidance to less experienced team members. 
  • May have responsibility for managing the performance of team members. Contributes to the achievement of related teams objectives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
