Senior Authorised Person

400kV Senior Authorised Person – Ireland – 6 month contract - Outside IR35 - Excellent rate

We are seeking a 400kV Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to oversee a substation in Ireland on a 6 month contract.

The role involves ensuring electrical safety and smooth operation of the system.

While a background with the National Grid is preferred, it is not essential. The ideal candidate must have experience working on substations at a minimum of 132kV.

Responsibilities:

* Oversee and train staff to adhere to safety regulations and high voltage (HV) switching procedures

* Write and review Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMs) documents

* Issue and cancel permits as necessary

* Liaise with DNOs to ensure correct completion of work and alignment with project schedules

* Train and oversee SAPs, APs , CPs and Persons.

* Write switching programs and perform switching operations

* Test HV equipment

* Implement Electrical Safety Rules and oversee system safety

* Provide out of hours on-call

Requirements:

* 5+ years of experience as an SAP

* 132kV minimum authorization

* Preferably a background with the National Grid

* Comprehensive knowledge and experience in HV switching
