We are hiring an Oncology SHO/Registrar/ Medical Registrar in our Hospital in Dublin, Ireland.







Full-time/Fixed Term

The Hospital currently has NCHD vacancies for the following positions:



  • Senior House Officer (SHO)

  • Medical Registrar

  • Oncology SHO/Registrar

Responsibilities



  • Provide safe and effective clinical care to patients across relevant medical and oncology services.


  • Assess patients, take clinical histories, perform examinations, and develop appropriate management plans.


  • Review investigations, monitor patient progress, and respond promptly to clinical deterioration.


  • Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, on-call duties, and multidisciplinary team meetings.


  • Manage acute medical presentations and, where relevant, oncology-related emergencies and treatment complications.


  • Liaise with consultants, nursing staff, allied health professionals, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.


  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care.


  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, discharge summaries, and patient records.


  • Contribute to teaching, clinical audit, research, quality improvement, and continuing professional development.







Requirements



  • General Registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).


  • Relevant medical degree recognised by the Irish Medical Council.


  • Relevant clinical experience appropriate to the position.


  • Experience in general/internal medicine is desirable for Medical Registrar roles.


  • Relevant experience in oncology, haematology, or internal medicine is desirable for Oncology SHO/Registrar roles.


  • Good knowledge of patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and clinical management.


  • Ability to manage acute medical presentations and clinical emergencies.


  • Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills.


  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.


  • Commitment to patient safety, clinical governance, and continuing professional development
