Senior Production Manager

Location: Ballybofey, Co. Donegal & Sion Mills, Co. Tyrone
Reports to: Head of Operations

People HQ is delighted to be partnering with Mulrines, one of Ireland’s leading juice and beverage manufacturers, to recruit a Senior Production Manager.

This is a key leadership appointment within the business, initially focused on the Ballybofey manufacturing site, with future responsibility across both Ballybofey and Sion Mills.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will lead and develop the Production Management team while driving performance across efficiency, yield, waste, quality, GMP, safety and people performance.

We’re looking for an experienced manufacturing leader who is comfortable being close to the operation – visible on the factory floor, developing managers, challenging performance and turning operational data into action.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and develop Production Managers and the wider operations team, creating a high-performance culture.
• Drive production performance against key KPIs including efficiency, yield, overfill and waste.
• Lead daily and weekly production meetings, ensuring clear ownership and accountability.
• Maintain strong GMP standards, quality compliance and continuous audit readiness.
• Improve workforce planning, skills capability, attendance and resource management.
• Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain and Planning to resolve operational challenges.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, equipment performance and cost.
• Champion high standards of health, safety and environmental performance.
• Use data, root-cause analysis and operational insight to identify and deliver sustainable improvements.

About You

You’ll be an established Production or Operations Manager with experience in FMCG or another fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You’ll bring:

• Strong experience leading and developing sizeable production teams.
• A proven track record of improving manufacturing performance.
• Strong knowledge of production KPIs, GMP and audit requirements.
• Experience managing quality, safety and compliance within manufacturing.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• A hands-on, visible and accountable leadership style.

Experience within food or beverage manufacturing and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma would be advantageous.
