Senior Staff Nurse

We are hiring a Senior Staff Nurse for our Nursing Home in Co Mayo. This job is for someone wanting to join a busy, well\-established nursing home group.

Responsibilities

Deliver and oversee high\-quality, person\-centred nursing care.

Lead, supervise, and mentor the care team to ensure best practice.

Provide leadership and support during inspections and audits.

Act as Nurse in Charge, overseeing day\-to\-day operational management.

Promote a respectful, supportive environment that upholds dignity and wellbeing.

Encourage continuous professional development within the team.

Support management in maintaining the highest standards of care and compliance.

Requirements

Third\-level qualification in Nursing.

Registered with An Bord Altranais (NMBI) with a current active PIN.

Relevant certifications in Infection Control, Manual Handling, CPR, Medication Management, Safeguarding, etc. (or willingness to undertake training).

Previous experience in a nursing home or similar care setting (desirable).

Demonstrated leadership ability with a genuine interest in mentoring and developing others.

Flexible approach to working day, night, and weekend shifts.
