In this role, you will drive system-level definition, architecture, requirements, and integration activities from concept through commercialization.\n\nThe Systems Engineer balances clinical user needs, technical feasibility, risk, and business objectives to ensure a high-quality, compliant product solution across implantable and external system components.\n\n \n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n \n\n\u00b7 Translate user needs and clinical requirements into system and sub-system requirements across implantable and supporting systems.\n\n\u00b7 Define system architecture, interfaces, and partitioning for active implantable platforms.\n\n\u00b7 Maintain traceability between user needs, system requirements, design outputs, verification, and validation.\n\n\u00b7 Identify and manage system-level risks through hazard analysis, DFMEA, and use-related risk assessments.\n\n\u00b7 Support system integration planning and characterization studies.\n\n\u00b7 Ensure system testability and support development of system-level verification and validation strategies.\n\n\u00b7 Provide systems thinking to assess impact of design changes across the broader system.\n\n\u00b7 Act as the R\u0026D systems representative on cross-functional teams.\n\n\u00b7 Generate and maintain system documentation in alignment with the Quality Management System.\n\n\u00b7 Mentor engineers in systems engineering methodologies and best practices.\n\n \n\nEducation \u0026 Experience:\n\n \n\n\u00b7 Hons bachelors degree or Masters degree in Engineering (Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical, or related field).\n\n\u00b7 5+ years of experience in medical device product development.\n\n\u00b7 Strong experience with requirements management, architecture definition, and systems integration.\n\n\u00b7 Knowledge of design controls, risk management, and V\u0026V processes.\n\n\u00b7 Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\n\n \n\nPreferred qualifications \u0026 experience:\n\n\u00b7 Experience with active implantable medical device or systems.\n\n\u00b7 Familiarity with Human Factors and Usability Engineering processes.\n\n\u00b7 Experience supporting FDA or notified body interactions.\n\nAs a leader in medical science for more than 40 years, we are committed to solving the challenges that matter most \u2013 united by a deep caring for human life.
