Job Description - Service Assistant Manager

Company Description

Title:Service Assistant Manager

Location: Raheen, Limerick

Salary: €18.00 per hour (shift allowance paid)

Hours: Full Time 40 hours per week 

Working Pattern: Shift pattern negotiable, Evenings and Weekends

Job Description

WHAT WILL KEEP YOU BUSY:

  • Supervision and Training - recruit, train, and supervise catering team, including servers, chefs, and support personnel. Set clear expectations and provide ongoing feedback to maintain a high level of performance.
  • Quality Control - monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards to ensure they meet or exceed customer expectations. Address and resolve any issues or concerns promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Logistics Management - Oversee the flow of events and on site Cafe and Restaurant, including food service and customer interactions. Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock levels working closely with front of house and back of house teams on site.
  • Customer Service - foster positive relationships with clients and guests, addressing their needs and concerns. Handle customer inquiries, requests, and special dietary requirements with professionalism and courtesy. Be curious, solicit feedback from clients to continuously improve catering services.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • You thrive on getting the best out of people and maximising commercial opportunities
  • You draw satisfaction from managing, training and supporting a team
  • You provide a professional catering service, ensuring that company standards are maintained and that Client expectations are met
  • Have experience in a Management role ideally in contract catering or hospitality
  • Good understanding of report writing and financial management.
  • Possess excellent supervisory and communication skills
  • Good delegation and influencing skills
  • Able to demonstrate your analytical approach to problem-solving
  • Have the ability to display a real passion for food and customer service 
  • Must have good written and spoken English
