Small Appliances Repair Technician

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a skilled Small Appliances Technician with hands-on experience repairing a range of household and personal care devices - from hairdryers to small air conditioners. If you’re confident diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on small electrical appliances we want to hear from you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

•  Assessing a variety of devices and their faults, organizing parts and repair to successful conclusion. 


•  Maintaining proper testing and quality control procedures put in place by the company 


•  Recording all results into the companies repair system 


•  Assisting to improve quality and productivity within the working environment and to help fellow colleagues in enriching their skills and to troubleshoot. 


•  You must be willing to share your experience and help develop less experienced colleagues while furthering your own knowledge. 

Skills and personal attributes required: 

•  Strong diagnostic skills for identifying electrical and mechanical faults in small appliances 


•  Hands-on repair experience with a variety of household and personal care devices (e.g. hairdryers, hair straighteners, fans, air conditioners) 


•  Understanding of electrical circuits and appliance components 


•  Ability to interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics 


•  Experience in soldering and component replacement 


•  Knowledge of safety protocols and electrical compliance standards 


•  A good level of spoken and written English (Communicative) 


•  Proficient in using testing tools and repair equipment 


•  Ability to work independently and manage multiple repair jobs efficiently 


•  Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail 


•  Basic computer literacy for logging repairs and updating job status 


•  A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn new repair techniques and share your knowledge with your colleagues
