The Door Talent is recruiting a Social Care Worker for a growing, family-founded service supporting young adults aged 18–23 with severe to profound intellectual disabilities. Created by families who wanted a supportive place for their young adults, the service has grown significantly in its first two years and receives HSE support.

You'll join a small team where colleagues work together throughout the day. The role combines individual support with educational activities, structured routines and opportunities to bring your own ideas to the programme.

• Location: Newtownmountkennedy, Co. Wicklow
  Contract: Permanent, full-time
• Salary: Very competitive
• Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, approximately 8:30 am–4:30 pm
  Start date: As soon as possible

What you'll do

• Provide one-to-one or two-to-one support; staff do not work alone.
• Lead and support educational activities and in-house programmes. Around 80% of activities take place at the centre.
• Help young adults participate, develop skills and engage with their daily routines.
• Work closely with colleagues to provide consistent, person-centred support.
• Share ideas and take part in supervision and professional development.

What we're looking for

• A Social Care Worker qualification and CORU registration.
• Around 2–3 years' experience in social care or a related setting.
• A full driving licence.
• Strong spoken and written English.
• A proactive, creative approach and a willingness to learn.
