Who We Need

The Senior Manager , Global Accounting will support the month - end close process as well as a nalysis and operational activities. This includes monitoring and assessing the various accounting operations and systems integral to the close process, reviewing journals entries, reviewing reconciliations and other ad hoc analysis to identify and resolv e issues with financial impacts. This position should be focused on promoting the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the “shared service” side of the accounting department throug h exceptional accounting, processing, and collaboration .

What You’ll Do

• Directs and participates in the monthly close process and other daily activities ( e.g. journal entries, accruals process, account reconciliations, and monthly financial reporting) of the Global Accounting organization.
• I ncludes ensuring that the financial/accounting processes are performed in a timely and accurate manner per the close calendar
• Ensures that general ledger reconciliations are completed within policy compliance, that reconciling items are assessed for both potential exposure and their underlying root cause, and leading corrective actions to prevent their reoccurrence
• M aintain s a robust financial control environment and looks for efficiency improv ements to current systems and processes, ensuring compliance with US and local GAAP, applicable laws and regulations
• In collaboration with Global Accounting leadership and IT, is responsible for the maintenance of the NetSuite general ledger system, including maintaining the chart of accounts and related hierarchies in consultation with peers, and conducting routine ledger maintenance activities in support of the month and year end close process
• Responsible for administration and maintenance of our foreign bank accounts and maintains a relationship as our primary contact with local branches
• Pro-actively seeks areas to improve the transactional accounting function and related internal processes
• Provides reporting on a regular basis and manage internal and year-end external audit deliverables required from the department
• Answers accounting related queries, resolving problems and issues promptly, delivering excellent customer service standards
• In collaboration with other Global Accounting leadership, p rovides leadership to accounting staff , and strives to deliver outstanding results and service
• Manages team performance by allocating priorities and workloads to enable direct reports to achieve and exceed individual and team goals and objectives
• Develops positive, high performing and collaborative team to ensure that services and requirements are being met or exceeded
• Builds the capabilities, tools, and skills within the general accounting team, driving high levels of individual accountability, engagement, empowerment and development. Includes responsibility for providing support for all direct reports to be successful in their roles
• Acts as an enthusiastic, positive and motivated role model for the team. Builds a culture of continuous improvement and openness to change
• Actively manages the talent and career paths of individuals within the general accounting team, including conducting performance and development reviews and succession planning with all direct reports

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Finance
• CPA preferred
• More than seven years’ experience in accounting with at least two years in a supervisory/managerial role
• Work experience in a Shared Services or Auditing firm is preferable
• Knowledgeable in ERP or accounting systems , preferably NetSuite
• Proficient in MS Office, e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint Presentation
