We are hiring a Staff Nurse - Oncology Day Unit to our Hospital in Dublin, Ireland.

Responsibilities
Assess patients' nursing care needs and plan, implement, and evaluate high-quality, evidence-based care.
Deliver safe, effective nursing care independently while supporting colleagues in maintaining high standards of patient care.
Undertake assigned departmental responsibilities and contribute to the efficient operation of the unit.
Provide emergency nursing care and respond promptly to clinical emergencies within the department.
Deliver care in accordance with hospital policies, the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) Code of Professional Conduct, and professional standards.
Follow clinical guidance from the Ward Manager and senior nursing staff while maintaining accountability for nursing practice.
Develop and provide educational resources and health information to patients and their families.
Build positive working relationships with multidisciplinary teams, patients, families, and visitors to promote a supportive care environment.
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records in line with legal, professional, and hospital documentation standards.
Support medication management by safely administering and monitoring medications in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, infection prevention and control measures, and promptly report risks or incidents.
Participate in mandatory training, including CPR, manual handling, fire safety, IV therapy, and other required hospital education programmes.
Maintain active professional registration (PIN) and engage in continuous professional development to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
Assist in the orientation, training, supervision, and assessment of new staff, student nurses, and support personnel.
Promote effective communication, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and a culture of clinical excellence across the multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
Hold current registration with the General Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Have a minimum of 3 years' post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting.
Must have a valid SACT Passport.â
Demonstrate a strong interest in procedural nursing and a commitment to developing new clinical skills.
Possess excellent clinical judgement, professional competence, and the ability to deliver safe, patient-centred care.
Have excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and possess good overall IT skills.
Demonstrate fluency in English, with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
A postgraduate qualification and/or previous experience in the relevant nursing specialty is desirable.
Demonstrate the ability to assess, prioritise, plan, implement, and evaluate holistic, evidence-based nursing care.
Practice in accordance with professional, ethical, legal, and hospital standards while maintaining patient dignity, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.
Safely manage clinical and non-clinical situations, exercising sound judgement and recognising the limits of own professional competence.
Maintain accurate, timely, and legally compliant clinical documentation and contribute to effective communication across the healthcare team.
Promote quality improvement, patient safety, risk management, and continuous service enhancement within the nursing department.
Participate in continuing professional development, incorporate evidence-based practice, and contribute to research and innovation where appropriate.
Effectively manage workload, prioritise patient care, support discharge planning, and contribute to the efficient delivery of high-quality nursing services.
