We are currently recruiting a Staff Nurse â Theatre to join a leading hospital in Dublin. This role offers the opportunity to deliver exceptional patient care in an environment where quality, respect, compassion, and dignity are at the core of everything we do.
Practice in accordance with hospital policies, legal requirements, and NMBI standards
Deliver safe, effective, and patient\-centred nursing care from admission through discharge
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, care planning, and accurate clinical documentation
Communicate patient information effectively using ISBAR during handovers and escalations
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in line with documentation standards
Comply with medication management policies, including controlled drug safekeeping
Perform IV cannulation in accordance with hospital policy
Demonstrate professional, compassionate, and respectful care aligned with hospital values
Respond efficiently and calmly in emergency situations
Work independently and take charge in the absence of the CNM II
Exercise sound clinical judgement and escalate concerns appropriately
Follow established lines of authority and reporting
Manage stock control and ensure adequate departmental supplies
Support and mentor student nurses and newly appointed staff
Promote evidence\-based practice, quality improvement, and clinical excellence
Participate in hospital accreditation and quality initiatives, including data collection
Deputise for CNMs and assist with staff planning and delegation when required
Be a Registered General Nurse with a current live registration
Have completed a relevant Theatre Nursing qualification
Have a minimum of one yearâs post\-qualification experience in a Theatre setting
Demonstrate experience working effectively within a multidisciplinary clinical team
Possess strong communication and organisational skills
Have good IT skills (desirable)
Hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (mandatory for all nurses)
