We are hiring Staff Nurse –Theatre Department-Anaesthetic/PACU to our Hospital in Dublin, Ireland.



 



Location: On-site / Dublin, Ireland



Job Type: Permanent / Full-time / 37.5 hours per week







 Responsibilities




  • To work as a member of a team of nurses in the Hospital theatre department providing high-quality, patientcare care for patients and their families.



  • To develop and maintain good relationships with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and to work closely with nursing colleagues to develop innovative practices within the unit delivering evidence-based care.



  • The theatre nurse will be expected to assist in a wide range of specialties (e.g. PACU, Anaesthetic).



  • To develop specialist knowledge of nursing practice relating to his or her clinical area.



  • Develop and maintain effective communication and interpersonal relationships with all members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure good team spirit and collaborative working practices.



  • Support the theatre manager by meeting agreed responsibilities as set out by the theatre manager or the chief nursing officer at any time.



  • Identify and discuss nursing and patient needs with consultants and the nursing team, multidisciplinary team, patients, and carers.














Requirements




  • Current registration on the General Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland register with a valid NMBI PIN.



  • A minimum of 1 year of post-registration nursing experience in an acute hospital setting.



  • Previous Theatre Anaesthetic nursing experience gained in Ireland or the UK.



  • Demonstrated clinical competence and professional nursing practice.



  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.



  • Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.



  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and adapt to changing service needs.



  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.



  • Completion of an Advanced Life Support (ALS) course/certification
