About the Role

We are seeking experienced, time-served Stonemasons for major infrastructure and civil engineering projects across Ireland. Focus includes the restoration, construction, and cladding of stone bridge structures, retaining walls, and heritage works.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  

  Dressing, shaping, and laying natural stone (granite, limestone, sandstone).

  
  


• 
  

  Constructing and restoring stone bridge arches, piers, parapets, and retaining walls.

  
  


• 
  

  Mixing and applying traditional lime mortars and modern specification mortars/grouts.

  
  


• 
  

  Precise jointing, pointing, pinning, and surface finishing to strict standards.

  
  

Requirements & Qualifications

• 
  

  Experience: Minimum 3–5 years as a Stonemason (civil engineering, bridge, or heritage experience preferred).

  
  


• 
  

  Skills: Proficient in hand dressing, stone cutting, wall building, pointing, and reading structural drawings.

  
  


• 
  

  Certifications: Safe Pass card & Manual Handling certificate (or willing to obtain before starting).

  
  


• 
  

  Languages: Good working level of English.
