Coordinate comprehensive care for patients with valvular and structural heart disease across all stages of treatment, ensuring seamless collaboration between radiology, non\-invasive cardiology, cath lab, inpatient, outpatient, and referring services.
Act as the clinical lead for the Structural Heart Programme, serving as the key liaison internally within the hospital and externally with referral centres and physicians.
Develop and implement standardised patient care pathways for structural heart patients, ensuring safe, efficient, and evidence\-based care delivery.
Lead and participate in patient, family, and staff education initiatives, including the development of educational materials and seminars related to structural heart disease.
Organise and manage monthly multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, case discussions, and educational events related to the Structural Heart Programme.
Monitor patient safety, clinical outcomes, referrals, waiting times, and quality indicators, providing regular reports and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
Support and participate in research activities, audits, accreditation processes (including JCI standards), and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain effective communication and collaboration with nursing leadership, consultant cardiologists, clinical directors, and multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes.
Contribute to governance and compliance by identifying quality and policy issues, monitoring internal controls, and ensuring adherence to hospital and regulatory standards.
Demonstrate professional accountability through ongoing education, mentorship of junior staff and students, participation in performance reviews, effective time management, and adherence to hospital policies and professional standards.
Registered General Nurse with an active NMBI licence in good standing.
Postgraduate qualification in Cardiology/Cardiovascular Nursing preferred (or willingness to undertake same).
Current BLS and ACLS certification.
Minimum of five yearsâ experience in Cardiology/Cath Lab nursing, with demonstrated leadership experience.
Expert knowledge and clinical experience in cardiovascular disease management.
Strong teaching ability, leadership skills, sound professional judgement, and well\-developed critical thinking and problem\-solving skills.
Proven management and organisational capability.
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast\-paced clinical environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
