Position Overview
CRH’s Group Sustainability Team is looking for a skilled, experienced, detail-oriented Sustainability Communications Manager to help execute our global sustainability communications strategy. Candidates should have a passion for sustainability and have experience in global, corporate, internal, external and change communications, content creation and social media. This newly created position reports to the Sustainability Communications Director and supports the Group Sustainability leadership team, including the Chief Sustainability Officer.
Responsibilities:
Oversee, maintain and leverage the team’s knowledge/information hub content, including case studies, images, facts, etc. to support communications across channels and audiences
Oversee sustainability brand compliance and use of brand assets
Create and execute strategic internal campaigns, including quarterly content toolkits for use by CRH operating companies, and report on content metrics
Develop dynamic PowerPoint presentations, print/digital collateral, video and narratives
Plan, manage and produce communications and materials to meet CRH’s sustainability strategies and objectives
Manage content calendar and communications projects independently and keep internal stakeholders informed and involved
Write sustainability-focused articles, copy, emails, social media content and other communications
Maintain and communicate key events on the Group Sustainability event calendar
Bring to life the Group Sustainability Relations team’s brand with internal stakeholders
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field/discipline and/or equivalent combination of knowledge, skills and abilities
Solid proficiency in Associated Press (AP) Style
5+ years of relevant experience writing, editing, designing, administering and supporting communications in a global, matrixed organization
Demonstrated strong project management skills and experience
Social media experience, including content creation
Demonstrated experience in dynamic PowerPoint presentation design
Preferred, not required, experience with graphic design, multi-media, videography, and/or photography
Capabilities:
