The Technical Operations Scientist II is responsible for leading technical investigations, resolving manufacturing issues, and supporting the transfer of products and processes to ensure reliable supply and on-time delivery to customers. This role plays a critical part in driving continuous improvement across the Immunoassay (IA) value stream using DBS problem-solving tools.

This position reports to the Technical Operations Manager and is part of the Immunoassay Technical Operations Team located in Co. Clare.

This role is permanent and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Act as a subject matter expert in ACCESS Diagnostic Assays within the Immunoassay value stream
• Lead and execute technical investigations, including experimental design, data analysis, and implementation of corrective actions
• Drive resolution of manufacturing technical issues to support customer on-time delivery (OTD)
• Lead the transfer of products and processes from other Beckman Coulter sites, ensuring project milestones are delivered on schedule
• Apply DBS problem-solving methodologies to drive sustainable improvements across the value stream
• Support and mentor junior team members, contributing to capability building within Technical Operations
• Lead or participate in cross-functional Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives

The essential requirements of the job include

• Bachelor’s degree (Level 8) in a Science or related discipline
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing or technical environment
• Demonstrated experience in structured problem solving and root cause analysis methodologies
• Experience designing and executing technical investigations, including data analysis
• Working knowledge of regulated environments (e.g., cGMP, ISO, FDA compliance

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Diagnostic reagents and associated analytical systems
• Product or process transfer within a manufacturing environment
• Protein Conjugation experience and knowledge
