Technical Writer

Opportunity

We are looking for a Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our Cloud Contact Center solution. This position would primarily be responsible for managing the product documentation. Secondary to this would be to work as part of a broader docs team to research, produce, and manage product documentation and release notes on a bi-monthly basis.

Responsibilities

• Manage deadlines and ongoing documentation projects, as well as follow-up with internal teams to ensure deadlines are met.
• Continuously improve the user documentation content in collaboration with engineers and product managers.
• Collaborate with the training team to help provide source product documentation for training and release training purposes.
• Lead the development and implementation of documentation standards, templates, and style guides to ensure consistency and quality across all documentation.
• Work with internal teams to gain a deep understanding of product capabilities and documentation requirements.
• Work as part of a broader docs team to research, produce, and manage product documentation and release notes on a bi-monthly basis.

Requirements

• Ability to self-manage and meet customer-facing documentation deadlines.
• Considerable experience writing for technical audiences; ability to write in explanatory and procedural styles for a variety of audiences.
• Experience working with agile project management methodologies and two week documentation sprints.
• Experience working with XML or Markdown-based documentation systems.
• Proven experience in a technical writing position managing deadlines and accountability in a remote environment.
• Experience with Paligo, or a similar help authoring tool and content management system. Experience with Github.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and graphics.
• Self-starter skills in research, investigation, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking. Able to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
